| | Duellist Fencing | Duellist History Bruce Dickinson The Duellist story began on the 25th of July 1988 in Chiswick, London. The company was founded by Bruce Dickinson, multi-millionaire and lead singer of the rock group "Iron Maiden". Bruce was a competitive International fencer who travelled round the globe. Slinging his guitar on one shoulder and throwing his fencing bag over the other, he fenced in more salles than arguably anyone else. Bruce quickly realised that his beloved sport was screaming for him. Bruce started the company with the intention to provide the UK fencing population with products as good as that available on the continent but at an affordable cost. Enthusiastic reports about the quality of the equipment soon spread to far corners of the earth. Duellist's reputation for quality and excellence established us as one of the fastest growing companies in the market. The frequent launch of exciting and unpredictable products has helped us gain a world-class reputation. The fencing world is always evolving; we're just tired of waiting . . . The Duellist Present. 
23 years after the Company was set up by Bruce, Duellist is going through its biggest evolution to date, having been run for years under the careful guidaince of John O'Neill, the decision was taken by John to spin off the running of the fencing part of the brand to it new custodians at Fitmay Fashions Ltd (better known in UK fencing circles as being the people behind Tempest Sports) so he could enjoy more time on the golf course. Duellist Fencing as we are now known is being run as part of a multi-sports group with over a decades experience in sports clothing and manufacturing, a deep passion for fencing (both the current custodians are former international fencers), and an absolute commitment to bringing fencing kit into the 21st century. |
